The Church Of Positive Vibes

The Church of Positive Vibes is a place of universal love and acceptance.  We are technically a non-denominational church, but we do have a strong belief in spirituality and the connection of all things in the Universe.  Our stance is we are all connected.  We are small, only about 60 members at this time, but we are not looking to build a super church.  We are always wanting to meet and connect with people who share our feelings or maybe are questioning their own belief system and just need someone to talk to.

We know we are more alike as human beings than we are different.  We share the same emotions, the same desires and we are all people, no matter the color of our skin or of our sexual orientation and preferences.  Love is love.

Our goal, to put it simply and to use the words of the legendary Bob Marley, “One Love” pretty much sums it up.  We believe in treating all living things with respect.  We believe in our energy and how we are all connected to the Universe.  We believe in each other and support each other.  We believe in equality and love.

Many philosophers have stated, once you realize you do not know the answer and accept you do not know the answer, this is when you can begin to understand.  This is our philosophy.  We do not claim to know, we are just enjoying the journey and accept we are still unsure of our final destination.

Reverend Jim

Reverend Jim is the spiritual leader and founder of The Church of Positive Vibes.  His studies have been in world philosophy as well as theology.  He teaches love and acceptance through meditation and positive thinking.

Jim’s past is very vast and ranges in all different walks of life.  He is a carpenter, photographer, surfer, musician, photographer, nature enthusiast and animal advocate.  His life experience has taken him on the road as a professional musician, photographer as well as teacher of the arts.  He has been practicing philosophy for over 20 years and a reverend since 2002.  While he holds the title of “Reverend” he does not practice any one specific modern religion.  His philosophies are based off of his personal belief system.

“The world shows us it’s horrors on a daily basis, the only way to combat these negative feelings is with positive feelings.  Good cannot defeat evil by becoming evil, good wins simply by being good.”  -The Reverend Jim

And not to sound silly, but to quote Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure… “Be excellent to each other.”
