Follow The Mood

When I am photographing a session, whether it is a fashion shoot or boudoir session, I often look for moments that happen off camera as well as on camera.  My job, as a photographer, is really to give direction and know my lighting, but it is also to set the mood of the shoot.  Setting the mood is important because this will carry on throughout the shoot.  So when you see something happening behind the scenes, the mood is already there.

When I shoot I do not limit myself to one or two ideas.  I let the moments and the mood dictate to me what might happen.  And sometimes a little thing like touching up the lipstick might turn into one of your favorite shots of the day.
